The Reylo Awards

What is it?
The Reylo Awards is a Twitter award show created and hosted by Natalia (she/her, @troysnick) and El (she/her, @faunary). Joining us this time is Lune (they/them, @lunarsith). The original purpose of the awards was to create a fun community event but we realized we had the ability to make a difference.
Reylos have been coming together to create change in the world since our fandom was created. In light of the ongoing police violence against Black people in the United States and around the world, we want to use the power of fandom to create real change and to remind everyone that this fight is not over.
We have extraordinary artists, writers, and other creative people donating their time and work to help us raise money. We will be promoting them on our account, so please follow and support them.
FAQ
Where will donations be going?
All donations will go to the Black Lives Matter Global Network, founded in 2013 in response to the acquittal of Trayvon Martin's murderer. Their work to fight state-sanctioned violence and end white supremacy benefits Black communities through chapters in both the United States and Canada.
Will you receive any profit from this?
None of the creators of this event will receive any profit, monetary or otherwise. As a registered nonprofit, all donations will go directly to BLM Global through GoFundMe and will not pass through our hands. We would be happy to provide receipts.
What does a Twitter award show have to do with BLM?
Think of it like a telethon: we are able to drum up support through an event that already has eyes on it, and we can give back to you for your generosity! In addition to this, every $1 donated will equal an extra vote in your category of choice, no matter what other perks you claim.
Where are the donation perks coming from?
All of our donation perks come from members of the fandom who have volunteered their time and work for a good cause.
How will I receive my donation perk(s)?
Once you have donated, depending on your chosen tier, you will receive a PDF with your perk options. Since some perks will be more limited than others, we will ask you to specify three perks in order of which you'd like most. Since most perks are digital, you will receive them by the deadline set. Physical perks will be shipped out once the awards are over.
How can I help?
There are three ways you can help:
1. Retweet, like, reply, follow, send to your group chats, and SHARE! The more eyes on this, the better.
2. Donate. We know money is tight right now, but if you can spare even $1, you will have our gratitude.
3. Participate! If you can't donate, participating by voting in the polls and interacting is the best way to show your support.
